Unrestricted free agent kicker Jay Feely agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, leaving the erratic Nick Folk as the Jets’ only kicking option for now. “Since the Jets weren’t willing to move up from where they were (before the start of the free agency period), we had no choice but to go out on the free agent market and see what else he could get before making a decision,” Feely’s agent Glenn Schwartzman told The Star-Ledger. “It wasn’t an offer we could accept pre-free agency.”

The Texans have signed kicker Kris Brown to a four-year, $12 million contract extension.  Brown, who scored 124 points last season, will get $2.6 million guaranteed.


Jim Plunkett  Act2, Arlook making Plunkett film

The story of Jim Plunkett, the first Mexican-American quarterback to win the Super Bowl, to the bigscreen.

Act2's Glenn Schwartzman    , a Florida-based sports agent, acquired the life rights to Plunkett, the son of two blind parents who became a Heisman trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP.  "What really attracted me to this project, in addition to the great story, are the intangibles," Schwartzman said. "Jim's story is truly heroic. The fact that (he) is Mexican-American will work well to reach a broader audience both here and abroad."
